Affection
For this body of work I focused on a duck factory mold that was originally used as a cover to a small dish. I wanted to alter the product to give the form character and emotion. I also explored how to contextualize the form into a surrounding, which led me back to hot glass as a raw material. The fresh ladle of glass contrasts the factory press glass process and also gives the duck a water puddle to swim.
