Majestic is a growing series of unique functional designs. The original factory product is a swan lid paired with a basket dish. I am pressing and then deconstructing the swan to work with the neck as well as the wings. Gold luster has been applied to the beak, eyes, and a few feathers, which are matched with the gold leaf applied to the detail of the foot and lip. I am also researching and incorporating German Römers coiled foot designs. This series aims to transform the pressed forms, marrying factory and studio practices, and in doing so elevate their beauty.
